Food Vendor at a Bank

Our favorite street kao-gaeng (rice-curry) food stand, on Sukhumvit Soi 55 (Thong Lo) just in from the mouth of the soi. You can see an ATM machine in the background. Only a few of the 40+ dishes are visible here. We often eat breakfast here because the food tastes as good as it looks. It’s places such as this that I miss the most on returning to the United States; for a few days back it is almost disorienting to walk the streets and not have food to look at!
